In Key Stage 3 every pupil has one 50 minute lesson each week in one of the fully equipped ICT suites with a specialist full time teacher.
In Key Stage 4 all pupils continue to have one lesson a week. In this lesson students follow a GCSE Short Course unless.
Options
Full ICT GCSE
There are 2 lessons a week with a specialist ICT teacher delivering a full GCSE for those in the option group. In these lessons students complete the project, which is added to their short course portfolio, to make the full GCSE. This is supplemented with 2 home works.
Business and Communication Systems
This course is a full GCSE and is offered in response to the school gaining a second specialism; Business Enterprise. Students have 3 lessons plus 2 home works each week.
OCR Level 2 in ICT and Business Studies
From Sept 09 these two courses will take over from the WJEC GCSE courses and the BaCS course.
